The iconic trench coat looks best when left untampered with, although small tweaks can give it a fresh update. Burberry Brit’s trench has scarlet piping to give a nod to military dressing while Jaeger's navy version is an easily affordable alternative. For gamine Left-Bank chic, wear APC’s sandy trench with ankle-length jeans, a perfect-cut T-shirt and loafers. Add drama with black 100cm heels.
